PROGRAM SUSTAINABILITY INSTITUTE
Episcopal Charities' new
Program Sustainability Institute offers a series of trainings and workshops for parish-based and parish-supported outreach programs in the Episcopal Diocese of New York. These sessions are aimed at helping programs achieve maximum operational success and sustainability. Rectors and priests-in-charge, program directors, volunteers - anyone overseeing or involved with the operations of a program - are invited to participate. Workshop leaders will be experienced directors of parish-based outreach programs who will navigate participants through the singular challenges and opportunities of faith-based outreach ministry.
For recipients of current Episcopal Charities Youth Opportunity grants, the program director is required to attend workshops*. Recipients of 2009 Basic Human Needs grants will also be required to attend. All outreach program staff and volunteers in the diocese are invited to sign up.
Each workshop is offered on Saturday mornings, from 10am-noon, both in Manhattan at the Diocesan offices in Diocesan House, and in Wappingers Fall at Zion Church.
