Lauren Jenkins Chung

Interim Director of Operations and Institutional Advancement

Lauren brings a background in New York City-based nonprofit management and policy to Episcopal Charities. Lauren is immediate past president of the New York Junior League and was a Coro New York Leadership fellow 2021-2022. She currently serves on the board of Citizens Committee for Children of New York. She is a parishioner, former stewardship chair and vestry member at Calvary-St. George’s Episcopal Church Manhattan. She holds an MPA in Nonprofit Management and Policy from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service.

Oluwatobi “Tobi” Mojeed-Balogun

Associate Director of
Programs for Program Support

Oluwatobi (Tobi) joined the staff at Episcopal Charities fresh out of college in February 2022 as the Associate Director of Programs for Program Support.  He went to Howard University for Economics and was a Chapel Assistant at the Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel where he assisted with various chapel initiatives. At Howard, he served as a team leader and site coordinator for Howard’s Alternative Spring Break program and acted as a co-Student Director for Howard’s Day of Service which was held virtually for the first time. He has been involved with student and community organizing in both New York and the DC-Maryland-Virginia area.

Patrick Bergquist

Chief Program Officer

Patrick brings with him varied experiences, including living with university students as a resident director to living with monks as a novice with the Society of St. John the Evangelist. He has written student leadership curriculum for high school and middle school students and run a large summer day camp program. Most recently Patrick has served at St. Bart’s, Manhattan as Minister for Children, Youth and Family Formation and Director of Special Projects for the Rector. He received a Master of Arts in Ministry and Theology from Northern Seminary in Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts with studies in Communication and Family Science from Anderson University.

SK Doyle

Associate Director of
Programs for Special Projects

Sarah Katherine (SK) serves as the Associate Director of Programs for Special Projects. She first joined Episcopal Charities’ staff as Associate Director of Programs and Volunteers in March 2020. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she earned degrees in English and Religious Studies. Previously, SK served as a youth minister at St. Paul’s Memorial Church in Charlottesville, VA, director of High School Girls’ Programming at Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries, and as an intern with the Project on Lived Theology and Thistle Farms Magdalene in Nashville, TN. Most recently, she served at Trinity Church Wall Street, first as a Program Assistant for Outreach and currently as a Youth Advisor for Trinity Commons.
