Meet Our Tribute Dinner Honorees: Charles O'Byrne

"Charles is at the forefront of rebuilding and reimagining New York City for the future" - Congressman Richie Torres

Episcopal Charities is proud to honor Charles John O'Byrne, Executive Vice President for Policy at Related Companies, at this year's Tribute Dinner on Monday, December 9th, 2024. The dinner celebrates Charles O'Byrne's and Episcopal Charities' significant investments in shaping a more inclusive and equitable New York. Charles has been a steadfast advocate and leader for diverse communities for many years. He currently serves on the boards of the Citizens Budget Commission, as Chair of the Washington Ireland Program, and as a member of the Selection Committee for the Robert G. Wilmers Integrity Prize. His dedication to the board of the Hetrick Martin Institute in New York, the nation's oldest organization providing crisis intervention services to LGBTQ youth, for nine years, including a stint as Co-Chair, is truly inspiring.

He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Columbia University School of Law and was named to the International Fellows Program. Episcopal Charities has been enriched and inspired by this partnership. In addition to Charles, we will honor Caroline Williamson, President of the B. Robert Williamson, Jr. Foundation, and Meals on Main Street's former Executive Director, Bill Cusano, who will receive the Community Justice Award. Their work and dedication reflect our community's commitment to positively impacting the world, a mission we are all part of.
