In December, 2,723,000 New Yorkers reported not having enough food to eat.
On May 9th, help us shrink that number.
EPISCOPAL CHARITIES SUNDAY:
Sharing Our Abundance
"God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering."
Episcopal Charities supports 62 feeding programs throughout the ten counties of the Diocese of New York.
These programs have responded to the needs of our communities throughout the pandemic, seeing as much as a 350% increase in demand year-to-year.
Help us support these crucial programs by sharing from our collective abundance at the parish or personal level today!
Here's how you can help:
If you're a rector or parish administrator, click here to download our Episcopal Charities Sunday toolkit, which includes:
A video from our Director of Programs, Patrick Bergquist, that can be played during your service or sent out via email;
A liturgical resource pack, featuring a themed reflection and prayers to include in your service;
Bulletin announcements in multiple formats for print or digital use;
Infographics to be shared in any way you see fit -- through social media, a newsletter, your bulletin, or any other medium that helps spread the word; and
Materials in Spanish for Spanish-speaking or bilingual parishes.
If you're a parishioner or individual, you can donate using the form below! If you prefer to send a check, please mail to Episcopal Charities, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, New York, NY 10033, and note EC Sunday and your parish on the memo line. You can also ask your rector how your parish plans to participate in this diocese-wide event!
However you get involved, know that 100% of your gift will fund feeding programs throughout the diocese, providing those most affected by COVID-19 with a nutritious meal.
